Maergery Tyrell & Arya Stark: the two best players at the game

Maergery sure, but Arya? I don’t see how she could be described as one of the strongest players.

I knew this post would be a little debatable — I love how Maergery & Arya are opposites. Maergery plays the game carefully & subtly, and Arya, though rash, is one of the strongest & most determined characters in the series, and I genuinely think she’ll outlast them all.

Arya doesn’t even “play the game”. Don’t get me wrong, she is definitely one of my favorites, but she is never in control of her own life. She keeps getting passed off from one babysitter to the next. She’s brutal, and will kill people if she needs to, but she isn’t “playing the game”.

tumblr teached me in one year more than 14 years of school.

That explains why elevators at my school don’t work with any sense - people must know it and use it.

Nobody is mentioning that 4, 14 and 24 are all missing from that bizarrely designed button scheme. Is this like how in America, many building don’t have a thirteenth floor for superstitious reasons? I want answers!

I really used to look forward to watching Smallville every week. In my defense, I was like 14 at the time, and seeing comic books come to life was a new sensation for me. It didn’t take me long to figure out how lazy the writing was, but still, they hooked me. Superman has always been my least favorite super hero, but still, they hooked me. Nobody else I knew liked the show, but still, they hooked me. An unlikely match, but a strong one.

I still remember when I finally had a VCR capable of scheduling recordings ahead of time. I no longer even needed to watch it live, but I still almost always did. I remember a friend twisting my arm to go hang out and do dumb teenager things, and how the only thing to more lame than my excuse “I don’t want to miss Smallville” was how I felt when he (truthfully) responded with “Come on man, I know you’re going to tape it either way”. Did I mention I liked comics? Just trying to paint a picture here.

This list brought it all rushing back. A massive list of some of the batshit insane things that they got away with on this show. Before you click the link, take a guess as to which character got knocked unconscious the most. I’ll give you a hint, this character wasn’t even in the series from the start but managed to snag the title.
